"Basil Bunny," a children鈥檚 book co-written by Dr. Misty Rossiter, professor of foods and nutrition at 糖心vlog传媒, and Leah Ellis, a member of the performance group Tunes and Tales, will be launched on April 4 from 10 am to 12 noon at the Charlottetown Learning Library, at 97 Queen Street, Charlottetown.
Suitable for ages two to nine, "Basil Bunny" is a gentle, playful story about curiosity, food exploration, and the joy of discovering favourite foods鈥攑erfect for young readers, picky eaters, and families who love stories filled with warmth, humour, and heart. The event will include a book reading with music and crafts and opportunities to engage with the themes of the book through food exploration and sensory fun. Books will be available for sale at the event and also can be purchased on Amazon.

To resolve this, please complete the following steps:
- Clear all browsing data (cache, cookies, and history) from the last 7 days
- Sign out of My糖心vlog传媒 completely
- Make sure you are not using an old bookmark to access the site. Instead, manually enter my.upei.ca into your browser
- Go to the Student or Staff Portal in My 糖心vlog传媒 and go to the bottom of the page to tax information to access the tax forms
After completing these steps, try accessing your tax forms again.

Murphy Student Centre, featuring two distinguished physicians: Dr. Preston Smith, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, and Dr. Peter MacPherson. They will share their expertise, experiences, and perspectives on the medical field.
This event is open to all community members and students interested in healthcare and medicine. It鈥檚 a great opportunity to learn, ask questions, and connect with professionals and peers alike.
Dr. Preston Smith has dedicated his career to advancing medical education. With 25 years as a family physician in Moncton and serving as VP of Medicine in New Brunswick, he gained significant expertise in health system reform. As Senior Associate Dean of Education at Dalhousie University, he played a key role in launching the Dalhousie medical education program in Saint John and starting new family medicine residency programs in PEI, New Brunswick, and Nova Scotia. Most recently, as Dean of the College of Medicine at the University of Saskatchewan, he led a major restructuring of the college. Dr. Smith is eager to contribute to the development of a unique medical education program in Prince Edward Island in partnership with Memorial University. His passion for the evolution of medical education and research drives his interest in corporate governance. He has served on the boards of AFMC, VIDO, and the Canadian Medical Hall of Fame.
Dr. Peter MacPherson is Memorial University's Associate Dean for the PEI regional campus. He obtained his medical degree at the University of Alberta. He completed his pediatrics residency and a Master of Education degree at Memorial University. After residency, he worked as a clinician educator at Queen鈥檚 University and held several educational leadership roles related to undergraduate medical education there. He is also a consultant general pediatrician at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Charlottetown.
Title of the Thesis 鈥淢odeling Groundwater Dynamics Under Anthropogenic and Climatic Changes for Prince Edward Island, Canada鈥�
Abstract: This thesis investigates how groundwater in Prince Edward Island (PEI) is being affected by climate change and growing water demand. Because PEI relies almost entirely on groundwater for drinking water, understanding these pressures is essential for future water security. The research includes a review of groundwater monitoring, mapping, and modeling, examines the sustainability of Charlottetown鈥檚 municipal groundwater abstraction, evaluates saltwater intrusion in Summerside, and presents an island-wide groundwater flow model to assess groundwater and baseflow responses under changing conditions. Overall, this work identifies key risks and supports more informed and sustainable groundwater management in PEI.

Researchers at 糖心vlog传媒 are looking to understand how students, faculty, staff, and community members get to and from the 糖心vlog传媒 campus. This will help identify ways to make it easier to get to and from 糖心vlog传媒 with or without a vehicle. The anonymous survey will take five to ten minutes to complete, and participants who complete the survey will be eligible for a draw for one of five $50 VISA gift cards. The Sir James Dunn Animal Welfare Centre (SJDAWC) at the Atlantic Veterinary College (AVC) invites you to its three-part webinar series exploring preparing to be an expert witness for animal welfare cases. This series will explore the critical role veterinarians play in animal welfare cases--from investigation through legal proceedings.
The webinars feature Dr. Shane Bateman, Dr. Kathleen MacMillan, and Janine Kidd, and will take place on March 31, and April 7 and 14, all beginning at 3:30 p.m. ADT. Veterinarians and veterinary technicians are eligible for continuing education credit. The webinar cost is $50 per webinar, or $120 for all three. There will be no charge for students or participants not seeking credit.

Preparation for Fiscal Year End
Procurement Services request that all departments review their outstanding purchase order list to see if there are any purchase orders that should be cancelled. Your purchase order listing can be found in the my糖心vlog传媒Self-Service Menu under "Financial Management" and the 鈥淩eceive Goods and Services鈥� selection.
If any line items have been backordered for some time, it is recommended that you confirm with the supplier that the goods are still on their records as being back ordered.
To cancel a purchase order, please email procurement@upei.ca with the PO number and vendor name.
If you are in possession of vendor invoices, please forward these to invoices@upei.ca as soon as possible. For questions or concerns you may have regarding billing and invoicing, contact apadmin@upei.ca.
Requisitions and Purchase Orders
The last day to create a requisition or purchase order for the 2025-26 fiscal year will be Friday, April 17, 2026, at noon with guaranteed delivery date on or before April 30, 2026.
For requisitions and purchase orders created after April 17, 2026, please change the requisition date to May 1, 2026. For these requisitions, the goods and services must be delivered or performed on or after May 1, 2026.
Receiving Goods and Services Cut-Off: April 30, 2026
For the expense to be recorded in the 2025-26 fiscal year, goods and services must be received by April 30, 2026. Only the goods that have been physically received on campus or performed services should be accepted against the purchase order at this time.
Please note that you cannot backdate receiving items in my糖心vlog传媒. Please reach out to procurement@upei.ca for assistance accepting backdated goods or services for 2025-26. Additionally, the vendor invoice must be dated on or before April 30, 2026.
Any goods received or services performed after April 30, 2026 will be recorded against your new fiscal year budget (2026-27).
