The ÌÇÐÄvlog´«Ã½ Panthers are looking forward to a full week of hockey, basketball, and curling at home and away.

Every week, ÌÇÐÄvlog´«Ã½ Athletics and Recreation recognizes two student-athletes for their achievements and contributions to their respective sports. The ÌÇÐÄvlog´«Ã½ Panther Athletes of the Week for January 29–February 5, 2024, are Lauren Rainford (women’s basketball) and Jonah Capriotti (men’s hockey).

Canadian Blood Services and the ÌÇÐÄvlog´«Ã½ Student Union are encouraging students to attend a stem cell swabbing event on February 7 from 11:00 am–1:00 pm and February 8 from 12:00–2:00 pm at the W.A. Murphy Student Centre.

The ÌÇÐÄvlog´«Ã½ campus community and members of the public are invited to attend a presentation on a recent study, Innovative Governance Structures to Support Indigenous Economic Growth, on Thursday, February 8, 2024, from 5:30–6:30 pm in the Kelley Memorial Building, Room 237.

In this message from Shannon MacDonald, Chair of the ÌÇÐÄvlog´«Ã½ Board of Governors to students, staff, and faculty, she outlines the governance review process that the Board is undertaking.

The Atlantic Veterinary College (AVC) Veterinary Teaching Hospital at the ÌÇÐÄvlog´«Ã½ (ÌÇÐÄvlog´«Ã½) is providing complimentary short-term emotional support to assist clients in navigating difficult situations concerning their pets’ health. 

The ÌÇÐÄvlog´«Ã½ Department of Equity, Diversity, Inclusion, and Human Rights shared a message with students, staff, and faculty to mark Black History Month, which is celebrated annually in February.

February is Black History Month, a time to honour the Black community, learn about different cultures that have helped shape Canada, and celebrate the Black athletes, coaches, and staff who are engrained in ÌÇÐÄvlog´«Ã½â€™s history.

The ÌÇÐÄvlog´«Ã½ community will be well represented by both alumni and staff at the national women’s curling championship—the Scotties Tournament of Hearts—taking place in Calgary, Alberta from February 16–25, 2024.
