Today, Protein Industries Canada announced a new project to grow the plant-based foods ecosystem in Atlantic Canada. The project will see the Eastern Canada Oilseed Development Alliance (ECODA) work with Dalhousie University and the ÌÇÐÄvlog´«Ã½ (ÌÇÐÄvlog´«Ã½) to explore and quantify the value of plant-protein food and ingredients in the Atlantic Region, while also increasing awareness about the sector.

An international report with recommendations designed to counteract school-related sedentary behaviour in children and youth, exacerbated by COVID-19 pandemic restrictions, has been released by the (SBRN), in partnership with the ÌÇÐÄvlog´«Ã½ and the . 

In a message to students, staff, and faculty, President Keefe reminded members of the University community that current protocols outlined in the ÌÇÐÄvlog´«Ã½ Operational Plan for the winter academic semester will remain in place for the remainder of the semester, including masking requirements.

The Canadian Institutes of Health Research (CIHR) recently announced $2.5 million in funding for the Kidney Research Scientist Core Education and Training Program (KRESCENT) 2.0.

The Institute of Island Studies (IIS) at the ÌÇÐÄvlog´«Ã½ is working with the PEI Department of Economic Growth, Tourism and Culture to better understand population mobility and retention on Prince Edward Island.

In collaboration with Nature PEI, Dr. Michael van den Heuvel’s laboratory at ÌÇÐÄvlog´«Ã½ has engaged in the first study using environmental DNA (eDNA) to determine the presence or absence of three rare species of mussel and one group of host fish, river herring, in PEI’s freshwater rivers.

ÌÇÐÄvlog´«Ã½ Women's Rugby has recruited Victoria, BC native Jorja Cook. She will enter the Bachelor of Science program in September 2022.

Dr. Adam Fenech, associate professor in the School of Climate Change and Adaptation at the ÌÇÐÄvlog´«Ã½, is featured in a recently published book titled Inspiring Canadians: Forty Brilliant Canadians and Their Visions for the Nation.

The ÌÇÐÄvlog´«Ã½ Panthers will compete at the U SPORTS Women’s Basketball Final 8 in Kingston, March 31–April 3 as they were awarded the wildcard entry. 

The ÌÇÐÄvlog´«Ã½ Women's Hockey team competed in the 2022 U SPORTS Women's Hockey Championship, March 24–27, hosted by ÌÇÐÄvlog´«Ã½ at MacLauchlan Arena. The Concordia Stingers went on to win the national title beating the Nipissing Lakers in the gold medal game on Sunday, 4-0.
