Dear Faculty and Staff,
Over the past year and a half, we have worked together to overcome tremendous challenges during the unprecedented COVID-19 pandemic. While ÌÇÐÄvlog´«Ã½ has done very well to return to a more in-person educational delivery mode for the fall semester, it has become very apparent that we need to take further measures in order to ensure that our campus continues to be as safe as possible for all members of our community.
ÌÇÐÄvlog´«Ã½ launches $3 million campaign to support performing arts
For Dr. Karem Simon and Dr. Greg Doran, this day has been a long time coming.
ÌÇÐÄvlog´«Ã½â€™s new residence building, now under construction, will be home to a new performing arts venue, including a 400-seat theatre. The University is launching a campaign to raise $3 million to enhance and deliver outstanding programming and state-of-the-art equipment for that venue, as well as renovate the beloved and historic Dr. Steel Recital Hall.
ÌÇÐÄvlog´«Ã½ to hold Convocation celebrations for the classes of 2020 and 2021
Gill health project led by AVC faculty member receives $4.7 million in funding
A project to develop an early warning system for identifying complex gill disease on salmon farms, led by Dr. Mark Fast, professor of fish health and immunology, Atlantic Veterinary College at ÌÇÐÄvlog´«Ã½, has received $4.7 million in funding through Genome Canada’s Genomic Applications Partnership Program (GAPP).

With this weekend’s announcements by the PEI Chief Public Health Office (PEI-CPHO) to introduce circuit breaker restrictions and move to a modified red alert level for a period of 72 hours, ÌÇÐÄvlog´«Ã½ will implement several measures and close the campus, effective immediately.
AVC’s Animal Welfare in Practice Symposium to be held virtually on March 4 and 6
The Atlantic Veterinary College’s Animal Welfare in Practice Symposium, hosted by the Sir James Dunn Animal Welfare Centre (SJDAWC) and the AVC Animal Welfare Club, will be held virtually on March 4 and 6, 2021. The theme of the symposium is animal abuse and neglect, including the link between cruelty to animals and violence against people.
