International Day for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination

The International Day for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination is observed annually on March 21, the day in 1960 when the police in Sharpeville, South Africa, opened fire and killed 69 people at a peaceful demonstration against apartheid "pass laws." The 2026 theme for the International Day for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination is "Mobilizing Political Will."

Faculty of Arts presents the Thane A. Campbell Lectureship in Law

The Chief Justice Thane A. Campbell Lectureship in Law will feature a presentation titled 鈥淗uman-Centered Knowledge Work in the Age of AI鈥 on Monday, March 30 at 4:30 PM at the Charlottetown Library Learning Centre in the Rotary Auditorium. The lecture will be delivered by Al Hounsell, Senior Director of AI, Innovation, and Knowledge at Gowling WLG.

Tentative agreement reached with IBEW 1928

The following statement was also emailed to 糖心vlog传媒 faculty and staff on March 11.

After a day and a half of bargaining earlier this week, 糖心vlog传媒 has reached a tentative agreement with the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW 1928). The tentative agreement is subject to ratification by both parties.

We appreciate the dedication and professionalism of both bargaining teams in their work to reach a timely agreement, and the respectful and constructive manner in which they approached the negotiations.
